Rules and Procedures
• Entry:
You may register for the competition as follows: (i) To enter online, select the email address ( rockband@maximediastudios.com ) from the event main page ( http://www.liveatthemax.com/rockband ) between June 30, 2008, and July 11, 2008. (II) Come by our studios located at: 13300 Branch View Lane Dallas, TX 75234 or (III) Call in your registration at: 972.488.8814 Be sure to include the following information in your entry submission: Specification of which competition (Guitar Hero or RockBand) you are registering for, name and age of artist/band and individual members of the band, if known-song and level to be performed, if you will be bringing your own controllers, and method of entry fee payment (cash, check, credit card, or paypal).
• General Rules:
All eligible contestants for RockBand (groups must be at least 3 members) will perform on the PLAYSTATION®3 system. Guitar Hero participants will perform on an Xbox 360 system. Each contestant or band will perform one song. Contestants have the option to pick the level of difficulty as set by the game. RockBand players must play the same diffilcuty level with the exception of the drummer who can play 1 level down. Choice of song and difficulty level must be selected before July 11, 2008. Contestants may bring their own guitar controllers. Mic and drum controllers are provided and may not be substituted. DLC may be used at an additional $10 charge.
• Scoring:
Scoring will be done by a panel of 3 judges and is based on game score, appearance, and showmanship. Total scores are calculated as follows:

Contestants are strongly encouraged you use props, dress in costumes, and put on one hellofa show.

• Performance:
Contestants will be assigned a performance time on Saturday, July 12th.
• Additional Conditions:
Maximedia (the “Sponsor”) is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate in the contest. The sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should disruptions, interruptions, hardware or software malfunctions, data loss or corruption, a virus, bugs or any other cause beyond Sponsor's control compromise or corrupt the administration, security or proper play of this Contest.
